Thank You!
We had a fantastic day with amazing support from the sarcoma community around the country. We had 75 runners supporting us with a huge turn out from Auckland Radiology Group, Auckland City Hospital, Starship Hospital and Josh and Andrea Kempthorne flying up from Christchurch.
You raised an amazing total of $22 500 - a big thank you for all your fundraising efforts!
Our most inspiring runner was Ethyn, who is recovering from lower limb sarcoma, and completed the course with a smile on his face. Not only did he smash the race, he presented Sarcoma Foundation NZ with a cheque for $16500- way to go Ethyn!
Our post event sausage sizzle was a fantastic opportunity to catch up & meet some of the sarcoma community. The BBQ being run by the orthopaedic out patient nurses and some of our younger runners. We had prizes for the fastest round the course and best dressed.
This fundraising means we can now tackle our our next goal to create a website of information for the public and health care providers.
Finally a big thank you to all who supported us with donations, helping out or participating in RTB23.
